If you make pork chops regularly, having a jar of homemade pork chop seasoning mix in the pantry can make dinner so much easier.

I love making my own seasoning mixes because they take just a few minutes to put together. Then, when it’s time to make dinner, I can grab a jar instead of measuring out several different spices.

This pork chop seasoning has a savory blend of herbs and spices that works beautifully for baked, grilled, pan-fried, or air-fried pork chops.

  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

That’s it! You now have homemade pork chop seasoning ready whenever you need an easy dinner.

How to Use Pork Chop Seasoning

For about 1 pound of pork chops, use approximately 2 tablespoons of seasoning mix.

Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel, then lightly coat them with olive oil. Sprinkle both sides generously with the seasoning and rub it in so the seasoning sticks.

You can cook your seasoned pork chops:

  • In a skillet
  • In the oven
  • On the grill
  • In an air fryer
  • On the stovetop

For especially thick pork chops, use a meat thermometer to make sure they reach a safe internal temperature.

Easy Baked Pork Chops

For an easy weeknight dinner, season your pork chops and place them in a lightly greased baking dish.

Bake at 400°F until the pork reaches 145°F in the center. Let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving.

I like serving them with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, green beans, or homemade applesauce.

Make a Batch for the Pantry

Once you start making your own seasoning mixes, it’s hard to go back to buying all those little packets at the grocery store.

This pork chop seasoning is especially handy because you can make several batches at once. Keep one jar in your spice cabinet and another in your pantry so you always have it ready for an easy dinner.

It also makes a nice homemade gift for someone who enjoys cooking.
