Author Bio:
Hi! I’m Rachel Paxton, the creator of Creative Homemaking. I’ve been sharing my love of cooking, canning, gardening, and homemaking for 30 years.
I have been canning for more than 25 years and am a certified Master Home Food Preserver, with over 9 years of experience teaching and practicing safe home food preservation. I enjoy helping others learn practical skills for creating delicious homemade food and preserving the harvest.
I’m a homeschooling mom of six and proud grandma of two. Originally from the Tri-Cities area of Washington State, I hold a BA in Humanities and Business from Washington State University.
In addition to my work in the kitchen, I’m an artist, author, and certified mental health coach. I’m a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and serve as a licensed and ordained chaplain.
My family and I now live in Idaho, where we enjoy gardening, cooking from scratch, and living life creatively.
