Chocolate and cherries are such a good combination. There’s something about the tart cherries with rich chocolate that makes this smoothie taste a little more like dessert than breakfast.
I’ve been making more protein smoothies lately, and this one is definitely worth adding to the rotation.
I add protein powder, collagen peptides, and creatine to make it more filling, but it still comes together in just a few minutes.

Blend until smooth and creamy. Add a little more milk if the smoothie is too thick, or another handful of ice if you want it colder and thicker.
Taste before serving and add a little honey or maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter smoothie.
Pour into a glass and enjoy!
A Few Tips
Frozen cherries work best. They make the smoothie cold and thick without needing a lot of ice. Sweet or tart cherries will both work, depending on the flavor you prefer.
Want more chocolate flavor? Add another teaspoon of cocoa powder or a few dark chocolate chips to the blender.
Make it extra creamy. Greek yogurt gives this smoothie a thicker texture and adds even more protein.
