Tips for the Best Key Lime Protein Shake

Fresh lime juice gives this shake the brightest flavor, but bottled key lime juice also works well.

The frozen banana adds natural sweetness without overpowering the lime flavor.

For an even creamier shake, use ultra-filtered milk in place of almond milk.

Why Add Collagen?

Collagen peptides blend right into this smoothie without changing the flavor. I often add a scoop for an extra protein boost and an easy way to increase my daily protein intake. This is the collagen I love.

Adding collagen may help support:

  • Healthy skin
  • Strong hair and nails
  • Joint health
  • Healthy connective tissue

Why Add Creatine?

Creatine isn’t just for athletes.

Research shows creatine may help support:

  • Muscle strength
  • Exercise recovery
  • Lean muscle maintenance
  • Healthy aging
  • Brain health

Creatine is virtually flavorless, making it an easy addition to smoothies and protein shakes. Simply blend it in with the other ingredients. This is my favorite creatine supplement.

Protein Breakdown (Approximate)

  • Vanilla protein powder: 30g
  • Greek yogurt: 10g
  • Collagen peptides: 9-10g

Total Protein: Approximately 49-50 grams

Even with a lower-protein powder, this smoothie still provides well over 30 grams of protein.

Can I meal prep this?

It’s best enjoyed fresh, but you can refrigerate it for several hours. Shake or stir well before drinking.
