If you have anyone in your home with a milk allergy or lactose intolerance, then you know how hard it is to make them a cup of good hot chocolate. Most store-bought hot chocolate mixes contain some sort of powdered milk.

It’s easy to make your own homemade hot chocolate mix, and this mix is dairy free.
- 2 c. powdered sugar*
- 1 c. baking cocoa
- 1 tsp. salt
You can substitute regular sugar for the powdered sugar.
Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container.
To prepare, add 2-3 tsp. of hot cocoa mix to heated coconut milk or almond milk, or a mixture of the two. You can prepare with water, but it doesn’t taste as good!
