Preheat oven to 325°F and grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
In a small saucepan, combine milk and lavender. Heat until it just begins to simmer, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs until light and creamy, then add vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture alternately with the lavender milk, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix.
