Sharpie and permanent marker stains are no fun to remove from any surface! Here are my favorite tips to remove permanent marker from plastic.
Use a Dry Erase Marker
Dry erase markers are great for removing permanent marker or sharpie marks from plastic. Color over the permanent marker on the plastic with the dry erase marker, then wipe off with a soft microfiber cloth. Repeat if necessary, until the marker stain is removed.
Use Glass Cleaner
Try using glass cleaner to remove permanent marker from hard plastic. Spray affected area with glass cleaner and wipe with a paper towel. Repeat if necessary.
Use a Magic Eraser
I still remember when Magic Erasers first came out. They are miracle workers! Dampen a Magic Eraser sponge and wipe the permanent marker stain in a circular motion until the stain is gone. If you don’t see results right away don’t give up, it might take a few minutes.
Use Rubbing Alcohol
Rubbing alcohol will often work to remove permanent marker stains from surfaces like plastic. Dampen a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol, then gently rub the stain until it is removed.
Use Baking Soda and Vinegar
Make a paste out of baking soda and vinegar and rub it on the affected area. Wipe off with a damp cloth.

To remove the marker stains, use the cleaning goods in your bathroom. Alternatively, you can create new dry erase marker traces on top of the existing ones and then wipe them away.
