I’ve tried a lot of homemade household cleaners over the years. My favorites are the inexpensive, all-natural ones. I really like this homemade all natural toilet cleaner.

Not only is it easy to make and chemical free, you probably already have everything you need on hand to make it!
All Natural Toilet Cleaner
-
- 1/2 c. baking soda*
- 1/2 c. white vinegar
- Essential oil (optional)
*Baking soda is very inexpensive. If you use a lot of baking soda for baking and for homemade cleaning products, like I do, you might want to invest in a large container of it.
Lavender Essential Oil – 100% Pure Therapeutic Grade Lavender Oil – 10ml
You can find big inexpensive tubs of baking soda at Costco or other wholesale grocery stores.
If you have ever done any science experiments with your kids, you probably already know what happens when you mix together baking soda and vinegar.
It makes a great chemical reaction when the baking soda and vinegar are mixed together.
The great thing about this cleaner is that you can mix it together right in the toilet. Pour the baking soda in the toilet bowl and then the vinegar, and it will fizz up quite a bit.
Add a few drops of essential oil for scent if you like, I used lavender oil.
Let the vinegar and baking soda mixture sit in the toilet bowl for about 30 minutes, and then scrub as usual.

Thanks soon much for the help, I just need something for my restroom to smell nice, or fresh, believeme! My restroom is as clean! That you can go get and eat there!but the smell isn’t that nice?!
I have to use a pumice stone too but that’s no big deal and it works really well for the ring. Well water. This solution is nice though. Fresh for wiping the rest of the bowl.
thanks, I have used the pumice stone, looking for a cheaper more convenient way to clean my toilets…I am on a well so my toilets keep a mineral ring and build up at all times, which give the appearance that the toilet is not clean…you are right I have these ingredients in my pantry…will try when I get home…
