Easy DIY Paper Spider Craft for Kids

Looking for a simple Halloween craft the kids can make with supplies you probably already have?

This little paper spider is an easy project for a Halloween afternoon, classroom activity, or just something fun to make together.

It doesn’t take many supplies, and kids can have fun making their spiders as spooky—or as silly—as they want!

What You Need

Start by cutting a large circle from black construction paper for the spider’s body.

You can trace around a cup or small bowl to make a nice round shape.

Cut strips of black construction paper for the spider’s legs.

You’ll need eight legs. You can make them straight, bend them into accordion shapes, or curve them to give your spider a little more personality.

Glue the legs behind the body.

Give your spider some eyes!

You can use googly eyes, or cut small circles from white paper and add black pupils with a marker.

Glue the eyes onto the front of the spider.

Once everything is glued together, let your paper spider dry completely.

Then display it on the wall, refrigerator, classroom bulletin board, or wherever you want a little Halloween fun.

This would be a fun craft for kids because every spider can look completely different.

Make some big spiders and some tiny ones. Give them different numbers of eyes, silly expressions, or colorful decorations.

You could even turn several paper spiders into a Halloween spider garland by attaching them to a piece of string.

This is a simple Halloween craft and activity for kids that’s inexpensive, easy to put together, and perfect for a fall afternoon at home.
