When I was cooking for Thanksgiving I was looking for some fun new candy recipes to try. I stumbled across this rocky road fudge recipe and had to give it a try because I actually had all the ingredients to make it.

Rocky Road Fudge
Ingredients:
- 12 oz. (2 cups) chocolate chips
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tbsp. butter
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 c. mini marshmallows
- 1 c. chopped peanuts
You can make this fudge either in the microwave or on the stove top. I made it in on the stove top by melting the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, butter, and salt in a medium sized sauce pan, stirring until the chocolate was completely melted and smooth.
To heat in the microwave, combine the same ingredients in a microwaveable bowl and cook in 30 second increments until chocolate is melted and smooth.
After the chocolate is melted, remove the pan from the heat and quickly stir in the mini marshmallows and peanuts. Instead of peanuts you can also use walnuts or pecans.
Pour the chocolate mixture into a greased 8×8-inch baking dish. Refrigerate for several hours until firm. The chocolate will be really soft at first, but it will get completely hard again in the refrigerator.
Cut into squares and serve.
Note: If you ever run out of sweetened condensed milk, you can make your own! Just follow these easy instructions for making homemade sweetened milk.
