Transfer the seasoning mixture to a small airtight jar or container and label it Meatloaf Seasoning Mix.

Store in a cool, dry pantry.

How to Use It

For one meatloaf made with 1½ pounds of ground beef, use about 2 tablespoons of the seasoning mix.

Mix the seasoning into your meatloaf along with your usual ingredients, such as eggs, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, or Worcestershire sauce.

You can also adjust the amount of seasoning depending on how strongly flavored you like your meatloaf.

Why I Like Making Homemade Mixes

There is something satisfying about having a shelf full of little jars of things you’ve made yourself.

They don’t take much time to put together, and when dinner time rolls around, you already have part of the work done.

This meatloaf seasoning mix is especially handy during the cooler months when comfort-food dinners start making their way back onto the menu.

Tip: Make a double or triple batch and keep it in a labeled jar so you always have some ready for the next meatloaf.
