Planning a Halloween party? You don’t need complicated recipes to put together a fun Halloween spread.
Some of my favorite Halloween foods are actually pretty simple. With a few creative touches, ordinary ingredients can turn into spooky appetizers, fun treats, festive drinks, and kid-friendly party food.
Here are some of my favorite Halloween party food ideas from Creative Homemaking.

Halloween Appetizers & Savory Party Food
Spider Deviled Eggs

Take classic deviled eggs and give them a creepy-crawly makeover with black olives. These Spider Deviled Eggs make a fun Halloween appetizer and are easy to add to a party food table.
Halloween Taco Dip

This Halloween Taco Dip is a great choice when you need something savory for a crowd.

It’s a layered taco dip decorated with a spooky spiderweb design, making it both a party appetizer and a Halloween centerpiece.
Halloween Stuffed Peppers

Turn stuffed peppers into a Halloween dinner with these fun Halloween Stuffed Peppers. They’re a great option if you’re hosting a Halloween dinner rather than just serving snacks.
Eyeball Meatball Spaghetti

This one is especially fun for a Halloween dinner with kids. Eyeball Meatball Spaghetti turns an ordinary spaghetti dinner into something appropriately spooky for Halloween night.
Fun Halloween Treats
Frankenstein Rice Krispie Treats

These Frankenstein Rice Krispie Treats are one of my newest Halloween recipes. Green Rice Krispie treats are decorated with chocolate hair, candy eyes, and stitched smiles to make little Frankenstein faces.
They’re fun to make with the kids and would be adorable on a Halloween dessert table.
Pumpkin Patch Dirt Cups

These Pumpkin Patch Dirt Cups are a fun no-bake Halloween dessert made with chocolate pudding, crushed Oreo cookies, and candy pumpkins.
They’re especially cute for a children’s Halloween party or classroom celebration.
Spider Cookies

Turn ordinary cookies into creepy-crawly Halloween treats with this fun Spider Cookies idea. These would be a cute addition to a Halloween dessert table or a fun baking project with the kids.
Halloween Drinks
Candy Corn Punch

For a festive Halloween drink, try Candy Corn Punch. The colorful layers make it especially fun for a Halloween party.
Witch’s Brew Punch

Give your guests something spooky to drink with Witch’s Brew Punch. This is a fun option for a Halloween party or kids’ gathering.
Mummy Juice Boxes

If you’re hosting a party for younger kids, these Mummy Juice Boxes are such a cute idea.
They’re actually a simple little craft that turns ordinary juice boxes into Halloween party drinks using cheesecloth and googly eyes.
Halloween Party Food for Kids
If you’re putting together a Halloween party specifically for kids, I’d mix a few savory foods with some fun treats rather than making everything sweet.
For example, you could serve:
- Spider deviled eggs
- Halloween taco dip with chips
- Mummy juice boxes
- Eyeball meatball spaghetti
- Frankenstein Rice Krispie treats
- Pumpkin patch dirt cups
- Candy Corn Punch
That gives you a nice mix of Halloween appetizers, dinner ideas, drinks, and desserts without having to make an enormous number of different recipes.
Make Your Halloween Food Table Fun
You don’t have to make every single thing on your table Halloween-themed.
Sometimes just adding a few spooky details makes an ordinary party spread feel festive. Use orange and black napkins, little pumpkins, Halloween candy, or a few creepy decorations around the food.
And let the kids help!
They can decorate the Frankenstein treats, arrange the candy pumpkins on the dirt cups, or help turn the juice boxes into little mummies.
That’s often where the fun is.
