Ingredients for Lilac Iced Tea
- 2 cups fresh lilac blossoms (stems removed)
- 4 black tea bags (or 2 tablespoons loose black tea)
- 8 cups water
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar or honey (optional)
- Ice for serving
- Lemon slices for garnish (optional)
Choosing Lilacs Safely
Use only lilacs that are:
- Unsprayed
- Free from pesticides
- Freshly picked
- Thoroughly rinsed
Remove blossoms from stems before using.
Discard leaves and green parts.
How to Make Lilac Iced Tea

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

Remove from heat.
