7 Layer Bean Dip Recipe

Ingredients:

1 large can refried beans
1 package taco seasoning mix*
16-oz. carton sour cream
1 jar salsa (16 oz.)
Grated cheese
1 can black olives (optional)
1 bunch green onions (optional)

Instructions:

Spread the refried beans into the bottom of a 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Sprinkle taco seasoning mix on top of refried beans. You can use a package of store bought taco seasoning mix, or you can use my recipe for homemade taco seasoning mix.

Pour the jar of salsa (about 2 cups) on top of the refried beans. If you would like to make and can your own salsa, try my salsa recipe.

Spread the sour cream on top of the salsa. It might get mixed in a little, but that’s okay, just spread it out the best you can.

Sprinkle grated cheese, then sliced black olives and sliced green onions on top. You can also add some chopped tomatoes if you like.

That’s it! There are lots of variations to this recipe. For instance, you can also add a layer of guacamole to it if you like (use my easy guacamole seasoning mix recipe).

This bean dip is great in the winter as well as in the summer, people love to eat it any time of year! Just serve with your favorite tortilla chips.
