Often you can get your tennis shoes looking clean again just by tossing them in the washing machine with a couple of bath towels.

I did these with my black Converse tennis shoes and this was all they needed. No extra cleaning or scrubbing required.

To get the rubber soles looking white and new again, use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on them. It will take a little scrubbing, but those erasers really do work like magic!

For tougher stains you can use this Miracle Spot Remover. It worked wonders on my pink and white Adidas tennis shoes. The white sections of these tennis shoes were really gray and dirt stained.

I used a laundry brush to scrub some of the spot remover (hydrogen peroxide, Dawn dishwashing soap, and baking soda) all over the tennis shoes.

I let them set for about an hour and then washed them in the washing machine and dried them in the dryer.

While the shoes were sitting with the spot remover doing its work, I removed the laces from the shoes and let them soak in a little bowl.

When the shoes came out of the washer, I was really surprised at how clean my shoes were. They were truly clean and looked like brand new again. Another great use for the miracle spot remover!
