There are so many DIY tips for making your own laundry products. I have tried many of them, but I recently ran across this tip for making your own bleach pen. What a great idea!

If you have ever been doing laundry and realized you were out of your favorite bleach pen, you can actually make your own. For this recipe you will need:
- 3/4 c. water
- 3 tbsp. cornstarch
- 5 tbsp. bleach
Combine the water and cornstarch in a small sauce pan. Stir it well (a whisk works great) and heat until mixture thickens and gels, like pudding. Cool.
After the water and cornstarch mixture has cooled, add the bleach little by little until you have the consistency you like.
Now your bleach gel is ready to use. A clean empty Elmer’s glue bottle works great for applying the gel to your clothing.
Note: This mixture will only last for about a week before the bleach loses its potency. If it sits longer than this you will have to make it again. This is a great recipe to keep around in case you run out so that you don’t have to run to the store before you wash your favorite white shirt!
