You probably already have everything you need to make this DIY windshield wiper fluid. Store it in an empty 1 gallon container, and make sure to clearly mark it so you don’t forget what’s in the bottle.
What’s great about this DIY cleaning solution is that the rubbing alcohol will actually keep your windshield wiper lines from freezing up during the winter.
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp. liquid dish soap
- 1/2 c. household ammonia
- 1 c. rubbing alcohol (optional)
- Water
Pour the dish soap and ammonia into an empty gallon container. If you are making this during the winter, add the rubbing alcohol to prevent freezing. It’s okay to add it during the summer too, but it is not necessary.
Fill up the rest of the container with tap water, and then it is ready to use. Just pour into your windshield wiper fluid resevoir as you normally would.
