DIY Rose Vanilla Body Oil Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sweet almond oil
- 1/4 cup jojoba oil
- 2 tablespoons dried rose petals
- 1 vanilla bean, split (or 1 teaspoon vanilla-infused oil)
- 8-10 drops rose essential oil (optional, for a stronger floral scent)
- 4-6 drops vitamin E oil (optional, to help extend shelf life)
Instructions
- Add the dried rose petals and split vanilla bean to a clean glass jar.
- Pour the sweet almond oil and jojoba oil over the botanicals.
- Seal the jar and allow it to infuse in a cool, dark place for 2 to 3 weeks, shaking gently every day or two.
- Strain the oil through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a clean bowl.
- Stir in the rose essential oil and vitamin E oil, if using.
- Pour into a decorative glass bottle with a pump or dropper.
Store in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months.
