- 1 cup powdered milk
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
- Mason jar with lid
- Ribbon or twine
- Gift tag
You can adjust the amounts depending on the size of your jar.
How to Make Mason Jar Hot Chocolate Mix
1. Mix the dry ingredients
In a bowl, combine the powdered milk, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder.
Stir well until everything is evenly mixed.
2. Layer the ingredients
Pour the hot chocolate mixture into the mason jar.
Add the chocolate chips and then the mini marshmallows on top.
If you want the layers to look especially pretty, gently pack each layer down before adding the next one.
3. Add the lid and decorate
Put the lid on the jar and decorate it with ribbon, twine, or a small piece of fabric underneath the ring.
Add a handwritten or printable gift tag with the instructions for making the hot chocolate.
Hot Chocolate Instructions
To make a cup of hot chocolate, add 1/4 to 1/3 cup of the mix to a mug.
Pour in about 1 cup of hot milk or water and stir until the mixture is dissolved and creamy.
