Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons fractionated coconut oil
- 5 drops vitamin E oil
How to Make It
- Add the fractionated coconut oil and vitamin E oil to a small, clean glass bottle.
- Close the bottle and gently shake to combine.
- Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

How to Use Homemade Eye Makeup Remover
Shake the bottle gently before using. Apply a small amount of the oil mixture to a clean cotton round.
Close your eye and gently press the cotton round against your eyelid for several seconds. This gives the oil time to loosen the makeup.

Gently wipe away the makeup, using a clean section of the cotton round as needed. Don’t scrub or tug at your eyelashes.
If you have oily skin or don’t like leaving an oily residue behind, wash your face afterward with your usual gentle cleanser.
A Few Tips
Use only a small amount. You don’t need much oil to remove eye makeup.
Keep it out of your eyes. This is meant to remove makeup from your eyelids and the skin around your eyes, not to be used inside the eyes.
Keep everything clean. Use a clean container and avoid touching the dropper or opening with your fingers.
Skip the essential oils. I wouldn’t add lavender or other essential oils to an eye makeup remover. The skin around your eyes is delicate, and there’s really no need for the extra fragrance.
Stop if irritation occurs. If your eyes or the surrounding skin become irritated, discontinue use.

Regular coconut oil becomes solid at cooler temperatures, which can make it inconvenient to use in a makeup remover.
