Ingredients

  • 2 c. cooked chicken chopped or shredded
  • 1/2 c. hot sauce
  • 2 8- oz. packages cream cheese
  • 2 c. grated cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Place the cooked chicken, cream cheese, hot sauce, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese into the slow cooker.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 3–4 hours or high for 1–2 hours, stirring occasionally as the cream cheese melts.
  3. Once the dip is heated through and smooth, sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese on top. Cover and cook for another 20–30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  4. Stir everything together before serving.
  5. This recipe is great for using up leftover chicken. You can use rotisserie chicken or any kind of cooked chicken you have on hand. You can also use canned chicken.
  6. Place the chicken, cream cheese, hot sauce, and 1 c. grated cheese in the crock pot and let it simmer for a couple hours.
  7. You can cook it on high for 1-2 hours, or on low for 3-4 hours. Sprinkle the last cup of grated cheese on top about 1/2 hour before serving.
