Lavender Lemonade Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 cups water
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup dried lavender flowers or 1/3 cup fresh lavender flowers
  • 1 cup fresh squeezed or bottled lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 2 cups of the water with the sugar and lavender.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Remove from heat and let the mixture steep for about 10 minutes.
  4. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove the lavender flowers.
  5. In a large pitcher, combine the lavender mixture with the lemon juice and remaining 4 cups of water. Stir well.
  6. Serve over ice and enjoy.

Notes

  1. The color of your lavender lemonade will vary depending on the type of lavender used.
  2. For a more vibrant color, add 1–2 drops of red and blue food coloring (optional).
  3. For best flavor, use culinary lavender.
