This easy iced green tea recipe is fresh, light, and perfect for warm weather entertaining. A pretty brunch idea for baby showers, bridal showers, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and backyard parties.

Iced Green Tea Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 cups water
  • 4 green tea bags
  • 2 –4 tablespoons honey or sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Ice for serving
  • Lemon slices and fresh mint for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring the water to a gentle simmer in a saucepan.
  2. Remove from heat and add the green tea bags.
  3. Steep for 3–5 minutes depending on desired strength.
  4. Remove the tea bags and stir in the honey or sugar while the tea is still warm.
  5. Add the lemon juice and stir well.
  6. Let the tea cool slightly, then refrigerate until chilled.
  7. Serve over ice with lemon slices and fresh mint if desired.

Recipe Notes

Do not oversteep green tea or it may become bitter.
Honey gives a softer sweetness, while sugar creates a more classic iced tea flavor.
Delicious with fresh fruit like strawberries, peaches, raspberries, or cucumber slices.
Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
