Ingredients
2packages12–14 oz each cocktail sausages (Little Smokies)
1cupbarbecue sauce
1cupgrape jelly
Optional: 1/2 teaspoon of Dijon mustard or a pinch of cayenne pepper for extra depth
Instructions
Place the cocktail sausages into the basin of your slow cooker. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce and the grape jelly until they are well combined.
Pour the sauce mixture over the sausages and stir until every sausage is evenly coated.
Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours, or on high for 1 to 2 hours, until the sausages are hot and the sauce is bubbling.
Give the mixture a final stir before serving directly from the pot on the “warm” setting. Provide toothpicks on the side for easy snacking.
Slow Cooker Tips
For a silkier sauce, melt the jelly in a microwave-safe bowl for 20–30 seconds before mixing with the chili Whisk the barbecue sauce and grape jelly together before adding it to the slow cooker so the sauce blends smoothly.
If the sauce seems thin at the end of cooking, remove the lid and cook on HIGH for 15–20 minutes to let it thicken slightly.
For extra flavor, try adding a splash of Worcestershire sauce, a pinch of smoked paprika, or a dash of cayenne pepper for heat.
Keep the slow cooker on the warm setting during parties so the sausages stay hot and flavorful without overcooking.
