Ingredients

  • 3-4 Black tea bags
  • 1 c. Fresh blackberries
  • 4 c. Water
  • 2-3 tbsp. Sugar or honey
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Start by boiling 4 cups of water. Once boiling, pour it over the black tea bags in a heat-safe pitcher. Let it steep for 5 to 7 minutes.
  2. While the tea is steeping, gently mash the blackberries with a muddler or the back of a spoon to release their juice.
  3. Remove the tea bags and stir in the crushed blackberries. If you want your tea sweet, add sugar or honey now and stir until dissolved.
  4. Let the tea cool at room temperature for about 15 minutes. Then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  5. When ready, strain the tea to remove berry bits if you want a smoother drink. Add plenty of ice cubes before serving.
