If you are looking for a quick easy holder for your child’s Valentine’s Day cards, this easy card holder takes only a couple of minutes to make from a file folder.

To make this Valentine’s Day card holder you will need:

  • Red file folder
  • Stickers
  • Stapler

To make the card holder open the file folder and lay it flat. Fold the bottom up towards the top and create a new fold. You just want about two inches left at the top of the folder, so that this new “flap” can be folded down to close the card holder.

After you have re-folded the file folder, fold down the top of the folder. Use a stapler to staple the sides of the card holder closed. If you want to get fancy, you can also use a hole punch to punch holes along the sides of the file folder and use a piece of red or pink yarn to “sew” the sides of the file folder closed. I knew my boys wouldn’t want to put that much effort into ours so we just stapled ours.

Let your child decorate their folder with markers, stickers, doily hearts, etc. Now their card holder is all ready for their Valentine’s Day cards.
